I did have a little bit of a cold... but nothing I had to work around much for singing. Mostly I think the weird voice was just the cel phone camera.

The main thing for getting through singing with a cold is controlling the cough. If you can keep from coughing, your vocal cords won't get swollen badly. Then if you take plenty of time to warm up and free the cords before you start singing you should be fine.

But if you cough a lot and your cords get all swollen... nothing is going to help really :(

Thanks for the videos Griff. Was that you speaking in the first two videos? I barely recognized you if it was. I was wondering if you had a cold or something, which then got me thinking that it would be really goo do hear from you on what you do for your voice when you have to play a gig with a cold. Maybe you could post your answer here and on the forum?

Hey Grif and gang. Love the quaintness of your band. Just ordered your Blues Guitar Unleashed set. Am looking forward to expanding my skills. My brother and I had a small band for a summer several years back and then "Life" happened. You know, wife, work, family etc. Now I am having time again to get back to my playing. It is awesome to pick up my guitars and just go with it again. Played trombone in the jazz band in highschool. Got an Aria acoustic from a friend while at sea in 1984 in the Navy. Learned on my own while floating around in the Indian ocean and have always played for my own enjoyment ever since.

Never really established myself as playing for others. Hope to gain a lot of ensight from your course. Now I am also hoping to soon develope a community based music club, (for lack of a better description), that can gather together local area talents and create a network of musicians helping musicians and local area beginners who just want to have an option to be involved with music outside of the school setting which music programs have been drastically cutback in the current economic downturn.
There has been a great interest from families and individuals as well as locally established musicians who are excited about colaborating on this effert.

Thanks for giving so much of your talent. Keep on jamming.
